Our services

We provide author support services including, but not limited to, virtual assistance, editing and formatting, publishing support, and anthology and shared-world coordination. The specific scope, deliverables, timeline, and fees for any engagement are agreed between us and you before work begins.

Payments

Fees for services are agreed in advance and invoiced as arranged. Certain programs and products may be paid through our payment processor, Stripe. You are responsible for providing accurate billing information and for any applicable taxes.

Client materials and intellectual property

You retain ownership of the manuscripts, files, and materials you provide to us. We retain ownership of our own website content, templates, and processes. You grant us the limited right to use your materials only as needed to perform the services you request.

No guarantee of results

We bring care and experience to every project, but we cannot and do not guarantee specific outcomes such as sales figures, rankings, reviews, or income. Publishing results depend on many factors outside our control.

Third-party links and services

Our site may link to third-party websites and tools, including our book club and book box platform. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third parties.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Indie Author’s Advocate is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our site or services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or our services will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Colorado.
